AESOP (2)

Hello hello again!

In this post I will be sharing my experience with Aesop’s Parsley Seed Antioxidant Facial Toner.

I apologise in advance that I don’t have any proper photos to accompany this post. I finished the product before I even had the idea of doing a blog.

I copied and pasted a photo from Aesop’s website, hopefully I don’t get in trouble for doing so, but I really wanted to post this review. The photo should be enough to give you an idea of what the bottle looks like at least.

I purchased this product and fell in love with it instantly. My skin soaked it in and felt so refreshing. I mourn the loss of it every time I do my skin care routine.

You may be thinking ‘Soph, why don’t you just buy another one’? Good question, I ask myself that everyday. The truth is I have a lot of other toners I purchased during many of my 4am spending splurges. I’m trying to use those other items up first before repurchasing.

Every time I think I’m going to be more of a minimalist I see one of my favourite websites having an amazing deal on something I’ve been wanting for ages and well………..next thing I know I get a shipping notice email and I don’t even remember what I’ve ordered much less from where.

Anyway enough about that, I have to try to be as covert as I can in case my husband reads this post.

This was one of those purchases that I wasn’t really sure about, the reviews I read were that it’s a great product and but it wouldn’t be the best option for my kind of skin (oily, impurities etc). I think the one geared more towards my skin type was the Bitter Orange one. Being the rebel that I am, I went with the Parsley one. It was love at first use for me. It just made my skin feel so clean, and refreshed after washing my face. Plus I like the smell of Parsley, so it was a double win.

This doesn’t contain alcohol, which I believe is the reason my skin didn’t feel tight or stripped like some other toners have done.

Aesop does have a product line of the same scent/benefits that can be used in conjunction. I believe it’s a serum, toner and perhaps a moisturiser.

I’d love to try some of the other types of toners but the con of this product is that it’s pricey, the 200ml bottle I bought costs $67. I’m not saying it’s not worth it but you may want to try either the smaller bottle first or go to David Jones (for Australians) and see if you can score some samples before spending your money to buy this.

I wanted to post this even though I didn’t have the physical packaging because I really love this product and I wanted to share this. I will repurchase in the future and I’ll take some proper photos for you next time.

I do have one of the moisturisers that I am currently using and will do a review soon!

Oh I almost forgot to mention, Aesop started as an Australian company from here in Melbourne.

Here is the link to look into the different products http://www.aesop.com/au/

Have you tried Aesop products before? I’d love to hear your feedback.

Until next time, wishing you the best skin health.
