Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream Review
If you have read my some of my older blog post you may notice I am obsessed with Antipodes skincare products! My skin loves every skincare product I have used so far from Antipodes. I’ll be sharing my experience with the Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream. I will admit first of all that I am in LOVE, hit with a cupid’s arrow type love, with this product. It feels magnificent on my skin and I feel like all the benefits it claims to have really do come through for me. Antipodes is a New Zealand company that is a highly innovative scientific organic beauty brand. They use some incredible ingredients that make my skin happy, feel like I’ve drenched my skin in a bath full of vitamins. The cream smells beautiful and very natural. Not perfumed or chemical like.
How I use
Even though this states it’s suited for normal, mature or dry skin I have used it on my oily, acne prone skin. I’ve used this during winter and summer climate in Australia and have had the same results. I find the cream soaks into my skin nicely. I have not had any breakouts or oiler skin by using the cream. It may be because I am in my mid thirties (dreading to admit this) and maybe it falls into more into the mature category but I refuse to believe that. I know I am just in denial about getting older. I’ve recently started testing another moisturiser and I have not had anything near the same benefits.
Here is the list of ingredients, showing the vitamins and essential oils that it contains. I know there are some ingredients that others may not be fans of, but for me personally, I love the results I have gotten from it. I have tried different types of moisturisers, completely natural or some popular ones that promise the moon and stars and haven’t been nowhere near as happy with the results. If you have an allergy to nuts then I’d stay well away from this. The cream is very rich and you don’t need a lot of product. The best way I can think of describing the consistency of this cream is like a smooth whipped butter. The packaging is in a thick, dark, heavy glass jar. Having it in a dark jar like this helps to keep the product in top notch condition to protect the essential oils. If you add too much then you may have a slight overcast. The picture above, shows I applied too much (like always) and it didn’t absorb right away. Once it soaks in then it actually disappears into the skin, it doesn’t sit on the skin like others that I’ve tried in the past.
This goes on my all time holy grail of products list. The cream does wonders for my skin, it leaves me with glowing skin the next day and looking healthy. I use other products and acids that can cause dryness to my skin and this cream combats all of those issues.
YES!!! The only reason I haven’t repurchased at this time is because I have a few products to try before they expire. I am almost done with this jar, which I don’t know how I my pm skincare routine will go on from now. I paid $56 for this cream on Beauty Bay.
