This is the first item I’ve tried from First Aid Beauty. I heard great things about the brand and I needed a new eye cream so I thought I’d take this baby for a test drive. My experience with this product wasn’t a pleasant one, unfortunately. It is possible that maybe I didn’t use it properly since it’s a balm instead of a cream.
One thing I did like though, was that you can apply on your upper eye lid.
I followed the instructions when applying and it left me looking like a character from Vikings, getting my war face on. I tried to rub it between my fingers to warm it up, hoping it would make applying easier and had no luck.
When I went to scrape product from the jar, I’d end up with product under my nails. To make a long story short, this stuff ended up in all kinds of different places in my bathroom.
You can see from the consistency it’s like coconut oil in the solid form. I used up as much of the jar as I could but seriously it’d mostly end up in my eyebrows. Which may explain why they seem so conditioned and grew so quickly.
I will not be repurchasing this product. I tried a deluxe sample of a different brand eye gel and that was incredible. I believe I don’t hold the correct skills set to use a balm, it’s too complex for me.
I am currently using some other eye creams from some of the Korean brands and those are turning out to be okay so far. Once I finish those I will purchase that eye gel that I mentioned before, I believe with my heart it’s ‘the one’ for me.
I will keep you posted and let you know how I go with my future trails regarding my eye care.
I paid $45 for this product and part of me wishes I would’ve tried something from this brand that came equipped with training wheels before delving into this bad boy.
Has anyone else had any experiences with this product? Being that it’s a balm should it just be something that sits and doesn’t absorb into the skin right away?
Someone please tell me I’m not alone in this struggle!
