July 2017 Skincare Empties
I was actually able to go through quite a few items in July, which has worked perfectly for me to start using up some of my other skincare items I have in my stash.
Doing my monthly project pan skincare edition has helped me get through most of these items. It’s a form of therapy for me to see how much decluttering I seem to get done. It’s something about seeing something empty that makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something.
Antipodes Grapeseed Butter Cleanser
I am so happy I have finished this tub of cleanser, it’s not that it’s a bad cleanser but I have come to the conclusion I don’t like cleansing balms. Cleansing balms are a little too much high maintenance for my personal preference.
I will repurchase Antipodes products, just not this one.
COAST SYDNEY BOTANICALS FACIAL – WHITE SANDS
I was heartbroken when I got to the end of this bottle, I love this product, hell the whole brand, so much. It will be a repurchased many times over in my future. I have some other similar items I have that I need to use up before I place another order from CSB.
I wrote a blog post reviewing this product and if you’d like to read that review you can click here.
Swisspers Make-up pads
I really try to avoid cotton pads as much as possible, but I do use them. In my mind, by limiting how many cotton pads I use is doing my bit for the environment. It’s not even a speck in the big picture of reducing waste but it helps me feel less guilty.
The only brand I like to use is Swisspers, they are strong and don’t rip apart once liquid is applied. They are soft and don’t scratch.
I have purchased a Kmart brand of cotton pads and I want to test those out since they are much cheaper than the Swisspers.
Fernberry REPLENISHING SMOOTHIE & MOISTURIZING MOUSSE
These two products made a strong impression on me, realising I really need to care for my whole body skin.
Previous to using this foot cream I couldn’t stand having lotion on my feet before sleeping, now I have to use it every night.
The body scrub is equally responsible for me getting into body scrubbing and moisturising my skin from head to toe.
I have posted a detailed of these products and you can check it out by clicking here.
Clarisonic Refining Skin Polish
Following on from the above comment, I started to use the skin polish sample that came with my Clarisonic. This skin polish smells so good and really foams up nicely when used with my Clarisonic device.
After a shower and polishing my body I like to slap on some nice moisturising lotion.
I had purchased the full-size product as well so that should last me a good chunk of time.
POLATAM OAK TREE SAP DEEP MOIST CREAM
This cream is a holygrail product for me, I love it, I want to slather it all over my body if I could afford to. It’s really helped my skin during this cold winter months. I highly recommend trying this out if you want an extra level of moisturisation.
I’ve repurchased 2 backups of this cream to ensure I don’t run out!
I’ve posted a review of this product, if you’d like to check it out you can click here.
PETER THOMAS ROTH MASKS –
IRISH MOOR MUD | CUCUMBER GEL |ROSE STEM CELL | 24K GOLD
These were purchased as a 5 deluxe sample size pack and I had rotated through them fairly equally and that is why I finished the majority of them at the same time.
The only one I would purchase the full-size version is the Irish Moor Mud mask. The others ended up being meh to me, not saying they are bad they just didn’t stand out as much.
Wash off masks are my thing, I love them and try to use one every day. So I would repurchase the gift set again to have the variety of rotating wash off masks.
I posted a review about these some time again and you can check it out by clicking here.
This was a new to me brand and product, I had bought it on a whim, not expecting much out of it. It quickly graduated into my daily pm routine and instead of just enjoying it, my skin needed it. I feel like I went through it fairly fast but I know I always end up using too much product, something that will most likely never change.
I haven’t repurchased as yet but I will do and probably try the liquid form as well.
Happy Skincare – Tickled Pink, Good Vibes Facial Oil, Raindrops on Roses Hydrating Mist
If you want a toner mist that is an endless bottle then Tickled Pink may be your go to! I worked so hard at finishing this bottle but it seemed to have an unlimited supply. It’s a great toner and the price is right as well.
When I purchased the Happy Skincare trio kit I also purchased a sample size of the other versions to test. Those being the Good Vibes Facial Oil and the Raindrops on Roses. Both of them are nice products and I will purchase the full-size later down the track.
I previously posted a review on one of the trios, you can check it out here if you are interested.
PANTENE Detangling Spray
Anyone with tangled hair problems will understand how much easier life is when you find a product that helps with the painful process of brushing your hair.
My hair is thick, curly and unruly. This is something that I have suffered from ever since I can remember. This spray makes it easier for me to brush my hair after a wash.
If you guys have any recommendations please let me know, I’d love to know what other people use to tame the beast.
NEOGEN CODE 9 GOLD BLACK CAVIAR ESSENCE & GOLD TOX TIGHTENING PACK KIT
This product wasn’t anything to write home about for me, but I’m glad I tried it. After I had finished this jar I kept it so I can reuse it for something else.
I reviewed this not long ago sharing my experience using this product. If you’d like to read my review click here.
I went through a whopping 17 sheet mask this month – woo hoo! Some are hits and some are misses but I do love using my sheet masks. I really try to use a sheet mask on a daily basis but sometimes that doesn’t always work.
I did a review of MAKE P:rem Blending Me Moisturizing & Nourishing Oil Masks, you can click here to see my detailed review.
That’s all for my empties for the month of July! I feel like I went through a lot of products and made alot of room in my bathroom cabinet.
Until next time, have a lovely week and I hope to see you in my next blog post.
