July 2017 Skincare Monthly Favourites
So my plan to time these types of posts isn’t quite going as planned, it’s all a learning curve for me. At this rate, I should have it mastered in 12 months! As the legendary Aaliyah who once blasted from my Walkman would sing, ‘if at first you don’t succeed dust yourself up and try again’.
So here I am, dusting myself up!
This month seems to have flown by so much faster than I expected, I think because I’ve been putting off doing some things that time tends to go that much faster.
My skincare products have been flying off my shelf as of late, ever since I started to do the Project Pans I’m finding myself not opening every single thing I buy and really trying to go through and empty what I already have on the go.
Hand Cream and Lip Care
These Fernberry products have been lifesavers on my hands and lips during these winter days. One of my major skin issues I have so often, especially during winter, is super dry hands. My hands end up so dry and cracked, it’s torture on my hands when I am typing on my computer. I end up having to apply hand cream several times an hour.
This Fernberry hand cream has been a lifesaver for me. I only end up needing to apply this about 3 or 4 times a day and my hands stay so moisturised and healthy. This has become one of my all time favourite hand creams.
The lip balm has also been a go to for me every night and throughout the day. It’s not sticky, doesn’t leave a lip mark on my glasses of water and is comfortable to wear.
I was sent these by Fernberry a couple of months ago to try and review their products, I am so very thankful. Don’t think I’m pulling your leg either when I rave about this, I wouldn’t have it on my favourites if I didn’t truly love the products.
I think I’ve been living under a rock when it comes to this brand, Belif. I had this casually chilling out in my stash waiting to be used but for some reason I never used it.
This moisturiser is magic for me! My skin is loving this moisturiser so much. It absorbs so easily into my skin helping to keep it healthy and moisturised during some of these freezing nights.
If I am not going outside during the day I apply this during my am skincare routine as well.
One brand you may have been seeing me rave about on Instagram is Coast Sydney Botanicals. I am so obsessed with the skincare products, they have truly blown my mind.
I promise you I am not sponsored nor getting anything out of my raving about this brand, it’s just that amazing for me. When I find something I like or have a positive experience I want to recognise that and share it with others. I’m like that when I find a shop or restaurant that their customer service stands out for me, I will go out of my way to continue going back to that place over and over again.
These three serums are something I just can’t get enough of, hand to heart I believe they have contributed to me not having breakouts as of late. I plan to have these in my future routines for a long time to come along with a few other of their products.
My love affair with the Polatam brand began when I started using the Oak Tree Sap Moist Cream and knew I had to try their sheet masks! I feel like these have made me a sheet mask snob, they are so fantastic and I struggle to want to use another brand because of how awesome these are.
They are more expensive than some of my other sheet masks, so when I need to treat myself these are some of my go to sheet masks.
If I had to choose a favourite from the three, I couldn’t do it. I love all 3 of them too much. I purchased a 5 pack of each of these masks.
In the past sleeping masks haven’t really been my thing, in fact, I’ve had bad experiences with most of them. Last month I fell heads over heels in lust with Cosrx Rice sleeping mask and I had this in my stash for a little while but hadn’t used it until after I finished the Cosrx one first.
I had purchased it at a great deal a few months ago and couldn’t bring myself to break open the beautiful box. I know silly, right? What is the point of having it just sitting there to look pretty.
This is a luxurious sleeping mask, it comes with a beautiful mask brush but I just apply with my fingers. This sleeping mask has some beautiful ingredients and works wonders on my oily, acne prone skin. The next morning I wake up and my skin is so healthy and plump.
Again this is part of one of my favourite brands, Coast Sydney Botanicals. This the Moana toner, a pineapple extract and coconut water.
I enjoy this for a couple of reasons, one for how nice it feels on my skin and moisturising it is. The other is because it brings summer vibes to me during these winter months. I love pineapple anything, so this motivates me to get out of my warm bed and into doing my skincare routine.
What have been your July favourites? For the Southern Hemisphere babes, what have you been using during the winter months to keep your skin looking healthy?
