June 2017 Project Pan Volume 1
I have an embarrassing amount of skincare in my stash and somehow it continues to grow much faster than the outgoing products. I plead the fifth as to how this happens…..
It takes so much restraint not to open everything and use all at once. Of course I know that I need to keep track of the expiry dates and also the ‘use by date’ once the products have been opened. I’m not so strict on these but I try to mindful. Then there is the fact that I need to use items for a longer more consistent period of time so that I can actually review them properly.
I’ve seen so many bloggers and YouTubers do a Project Pan series that usually involves using up makeup and it lead me to doing my own version. Since I don’t wear makeup and am not creative enough to think of another name for this series I went with the original name that inspired me.
My plan for this project
Every month I’ll chose a small number of products that I am using or want to use up, set a goal on how much I’d like to use by the end of the month, weigh them, and then follow up with an update. Now I know this may end up being a small double up and may over lap my monthly empties posts but please bear with me while I give it a go. I would love any suggestions you may have.
I will be adding sheet masks to the list in future posts since I have a stash of them.
June 2017 Plan
This month I am choosing 6 products and 5 of them to use up by the end of June 2017. The one item that I won’t be aiming to use it all by the end of this month is the Innisfree, Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam.
I have weighed all the jars with my kitchen scale since some products you can’t actually see how much is product is left. The weight of these were taken as of 11th June 2017.
Scinic – First Treatment Essence
I originally purchased this to compare vs the Missha FTE. I will have a blog post reviewing this in the near future.
This one might be a little harder to get to my goal because I only need a small amount. I was trying to do the 7 Skin Method using this FTE but I ended up not seeing much benefit from this method so I stopped. I do want to save a small amount so I can do a comparsion with another FTE that I am waiting for it to arrive.
Happy Skincare – Over The Moon Rich Repair Cream
I love this moisturiser but have a backlog of moisturisers that need to be used. Before I open a new one I want to finish this one up.
I have done a blog post on this, if you’d like to check out that blog post click here.
Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam
This cleanser is a huge bottle and I feel like it will take me 5,000 years to use. I’m going to chip at this one a little bit at a time. It’ll probably make many appearances in future posts of this series.
Goal: Bring it down to 315ml
Part of the difficultly for me using this product will be that you only need a small amount.
Innisfree The Minimum Toner
Even though this bottle looks small and I didn’t think it’ll last me a week, it feels like it’s a never ending bottle!
I have review this product and if you’d like to read the post click here.
Grown Alchemist – Antioxidant Facial Oil
Not sure if I’ll get to my goal with this because I only need such a small amount but I will give it a decent go.
I will have a product review blog post on this in the near future.
Antipodes Manuka Honey Mask
I probably have two masks left from this bottle, so I should have no trouble finishing this bottle by the end of the month.
I love this mask but I have way too many masks that need some love. If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen some of my recent mask hauls. I know I need rehab for mask addicts.
I have done a blog post reviewing this mask, if you would like to read that post click here.
Have you done a project like this? I would love it if you would join me throughout this series, whether it be skincare, cosmetics, books or Netflix shows! I can do a 5 part novel post on just my progress of Netflix shows from just this year alone.
