Make P:rem Blending Me

Moisturizing and Nourishing Oil Masks Review

Oil Masking is something new to me, the first thing I think of is this is going to be messy. It took me a little while to really want to get into the trend.

I’ve tried a normal wash off oil mask that you leave on for a certain amount of time and then wash off. But now I have tried the sheet mask version of an oil mask. The sheet mask version is MUCH neater and not as messy to use.

Both of these masks are marketed as one whole bottle of facial oils within.

How I use

I applied this mask after my first treatment essence and left it on for 10 minutes. Once the time was up the sheet was fairly dry and all the oils had soaked into my skin. I dug into the pouch to get the rest of the left over essence and lightly tapped it into my skin to absorb.

There was only a small amount of essence left in the pouch.

There was a very light scent, almost undetectable. No lingering scent either.

Another thing I found that I liked was no residue or any kind of stickiness left behind.

Nourishing Oil Mask

The second mask on my list to try was the Nourishing version. The sheet material of this mask is lovely, it’s easy to apply and breathable to let your skin absorb the oils. Exactly the same as the Moisturising version.

Ingredients in this mask contain 10 facial oils:

  • Avocado Oil – helps with blemish prone skin
  • Rose hip oil – helps to improve tone, texture and pigmentation
  • Camellia Flower Extract – helps with anti aging
  • Coconut Oil – antibacterial and moisturising
  • Jojoba Seed Oil – moisturising
  • Argan Oil – helps reduce inflammation
  • Grapeseed Oil – helps keep pores clear
  • Olive Oil – anti-aging antioxidants
  • Meadowfoam Seed Oil – moisturising and antioxidants
  • Evening primrose oil – helps to heal and reduce inflammation
This mask is targeted for whitening and anti-wrinkle functions. With the ingredients that make this mask you get vitamins A,B,D and E.
The two masks are extremely similar.

I dug into the pouch to get the rest of the left over essence and lightly tapped it into my skin to absorb. Again, very similar to the moisturing mask.

There was quite a bit of essence left in the pouch, which I found surprising compared to the moisturising version.

Then I moved on to my next steps in my routine.

There was a very light scent, but it was just a combination of all the awesome oils. The best way I could describe it is a light floral scent. It didn’t linger and wasn’t overpowering in any way.

Another thing I found that I liked was no residue or any kind of stickiness left behind.

Final Thoughts

I enjoyed these masks, if I had to choose between the two I would say the Nourishing one would be the one I would reach for. I think of this mask as a combination of a bunch of ‘good for you’ facial oils combined into one mask to apply everything in one go.

After using both masks I followed up with my next steps in my routine, serum, moisturisers – all that good stuff!! Also known as my 50 layers of skincare!

Repurchase?

Right now I would say no, I personally prefer to apply all my facial oils one by one. I think it’s more of a visual preference for me. I do like the convenience of a one mask hits all. Part of the thing that I like to use my sheet masks are to absorb some extra essences or vitamins that are in the sheet mask, then I follow it up with my facial oils.

I purchased these through Nudie Glow for $5 AUD a piece.
