Natio Aromatherapy Gentle Foaming Cleanser Review
Hello and thank you for taking the time to stop by and check my latest review.
One of my recent posts was my review of the Natio Aromatherapy Gentle Toner (link provided at the end of the post). This is a slight continuation of that review solely for the fact that it’s part of Natio’s Aromatherapy line.
Natio Aromatherapy Gentle Foaming Cleaner is soap free, has a neutral pH and is very gentle. It goes in deep into the skin to cleanse without that stripping feeling. It contains essential oils and plant extracts to soften, soothe and correct your skin’s moisture balance.
Natio is one of Australia’s leading beauty brands in Australian pharmacies, making it easily accessible.
One of Natio’s focus is to deliver plant based beauty treatments that are affordable, gentle and fit into your life. They don’t do expensive promotions or packaging which contribute to the two points above: making it affordable and easily accessible.
Affordable and accessible in my book plus how well the products work on my skin make the brand an ace and a forever brand.
They also make cosmetics, products designed for men, essential oils, deodorant, sun protection/self tanning products and body care that contains antioxidants.
Natio (click here for link) was recognised, voted and won the 2016 Prix De Marie Claire Beauty as Best Australian Beauty Brand.
When and how I use
I use this cleanser as my second cleanse, sometimes I would use it twice on the same day and other times I rotate it in while using other cleansers throughout my week.
I love how this dispenses from the bottle, it makes it easy to squeeze every last drop of goodness out. I love the pearl colour of this cleanser, it gives me the feeling that I am cleansing my skin with such pureness.
One of the things I found most comforting was the scent. It wasn’t overly perfumed and it seemed so natural and not filled with chemicals.
Benefits I noitced
I found the easiest way to use and really get it massaged is to use when my skin is wet. The more water I use before applying the cleanser the easier it glides on my skin. I tried to use this straight after my first cleanse using a micellar water but my skin wasn’t damp enough to work this in.
Usually, once I have done my first cleanse I wet my face, wet my hands and then massage the cleanser into my skin. On the days I use my Clarisonic or Foreo I make sure to wet my device and then go in and do the programmed cycle. It’s easy to use with a sonic cleansing device or even using the original and proven method of using your hands.
Come to think of it, this method is exactly what the instructions advise. Guess that happens when you read what the packaging actually says.
About the product
According to the name, this cleanser is meant to be a foaming cleanser but I didn’t find it to foam up in the traditional sense. It actually is made using a ‘micro foam’ that penetrates deep into your pores for a more thorough cleanse.
I actually like that it’s not a traditional foam, I’ve tried other foaming cleansers and they strip my skin, horrible feeling. I originally was on the hunt for foaming cleansers because I thought it would work the best whilst using my Clarisonic. When I purchased my Clarisonic it contained a sample cleanser that was foaming, which I loved for a while but towards the end of the product, I wasn’t a fan of it and decided not to continue.

I really, really, really love this brand. They carry a wide range of products from head to toe. If you are looking for items more specialised towards a skin concern they carry a great variety of products that may suit your needs.
I am currently testing some items from their Ageless line, so stay tuned for a future review on those items.
There are also a couple of other products from their Aromatherapy line in my stash, one including an spf moisturiser. I’m really excited to try the moisturiser because the more I learn about my skin, I am finally understanding how incredibly important it is to wear spf. Especially now that I am experimenting with Derma Needling, lots of different acids and trying to avoid future disadvantages that come from not protecting my skin.
Absolutely! Natio is affordable, easily accessible and I have been extremely satisfied with the products I’ve tried. I look forward to using these products each day.
Using this cleanser on a regular basis works well on my crazy skin that is oily, acne prone, acne scarred skin that is in its mid-thirties.
Have you tried this brand before? If so I’d love to hear your thoughts on it and any recommendations you may have.
