Weekly Sheet Masks Reviews 20th – 26th August 2016
Hello, my fellow sheet mask addicts!
Here is my weekly sheet masks and reviews I used during the week of 20th to 26th August 2016. It was an exciting week for me to try quite a few new to me masks. As per my previous sheet masks post, this will include my mini reviews. Here we go!
Skinfood – Beauty In A Food Mask Sheet
I have used this mask a few times prior to starting my blog and I love it! I purchased a 5 pack of these for $12. I only have about 1 or 2 left which I am trying to save. You know when you love something so much you try to save it as long as possible? Yup, that’s me. Of course my mind doesn’t think I can just purchase more instead of hoarding what I have left.
The masks has a really earthy scent, but not overwhelming if you are sensitive to scents. The material is one of the thicker cotton types. It is also super easy to unfold before putting it on. Some sheet mask take me 5 minutes just to unfold the mask so I can put it on. I did find a bit of excess essence at the end of the package and also once I took the sheet off. The excess I usually use a little on my face and the rest on my neck area as well.
YES! I’ll be doing another sheet mask order soon and these will be in my cart. I also want to try more Skinfood masks and products. They have some really unique items I’d like to try, their prices are also very affordable.
Tony Moly – I’m Real
Lemon – Brightening
I am still new to the Tony Moly masks but thus far I really like them. I like to order variety packs because the way everything is described I need every mask out there! I purchased the pack of 11 variety masks for $30. I’d prefer to do that then spend $30 on just one particular flavour, unless of course it blows my mind.
I didn’t detect a scent with this one, I thought it would remind me of lemon floor cleaner. The material is thick and felt lovely on my skin. There was very little excess essence left in the pack, but when you remove the mask your face is very damp with essence left behind to tap in for easier absorption.
Yes but in the variety pack.
Innisfree -it’s real squeeze mask
This is the first non-traditional sheet mask I’ve come across. The essence was milky instead of clear, like all the previous sheet masks I’ve used. I’m in love with this mask, I’d use it everyday if I wasn’t so addicted to trying every sheet mask out there. It was so soothing on my skin.
The package reads that rice extract is meant to keep your skin purified and healthy. There was a lot of excess essence left behind in the package. I never wanted to take this mask off because it felt that great.
YES!! I’d even stray from my usual variety pack purchase mentality and buy a chunk of only this flavour.
I’ve reviewed this one on previous post and still feel the same. I will copy the previous mini review so you don’t have to go back and try to find it. Unless of course you would like to 🙂
Innisfree -it’s real squeeze mask- Green Tea
I enjoy this product. I can’t really detect much of a scent with it. Easy to take off and leaves some essence on my skin to tap in. Its a moisturizing mask, which I don’t have dry skin so I don’t feel like it does a whole lot for me. Maybe people with dry skin might find it more beneficial? I will say given it’s winter time here my skin hasn’t experienced any dryness at all.
I have really enjoyed this brand of sheet masks plus they are super affordable, pack of 10 for $24.
The materiel is really comfortable to wear, it’s easy to go way beyond the recommended wear time.
I didn’t notice a scent from this mask. It had a tiny bit of essence left in the pack plus my face was damp with it after I removed the sheet.
According to the package Royal Jelly extract provides nourishment and prevents wrinkles. My skin did feel pretty good after.
I already have a new 10 pack waiting for my future rounds.
Innisfree – it’s real squeeze mask
I’ve used quite a bit of Innisfree mask this week!
I had no idea what bija is and still not really sure, I never had heard of it before trying this mask. After doing some research on google I believe it’s a seed. It seems to be symbolic across different cultures. In Korean skin care it appears that bija is a popular ingredient to use for troubled skin.
The package on this one says its meant to treat skin problem while keeping skin moisturising and clean.
I liked this mask, I had a couple of activate acne spots and this didn’t make the issue worse. You know sometimes when you add a problem with a lot of moisture its like it goes into making a pimple even bigger?! Well this didn’t do that.
I Need You: Pomegranate – Smooth and Energizing
I really love this brand of sheet masks. This is the third time I’ve used an Etude House sheet mask. I always feels like the essence really goes deep in my skin. It’s a thick cotton mask that is drenched with essence.
There isn’t much left in the pack after removal of the sheet but there is tons left over when you peel the sheet off.
This was a sample pack of Etude House products I purchased from Yes Style.
The package reads that it helps dull and lifeless skin. I don’t know if it did that but I did enjoy it.
Yes! I wish Etude House sold their masks in a bulk variety pack rather that individually. This is for you Etude House, even though chances of you reading this post from a nobody blogger is one in a trillion.
How I use
Usually I tend to leave my sheet mask on for about 45 minutes or as long as a Private Practice episode. Does anyone else time their routine according to a show?
I’ve also fallen asleep with the mask on and had to peel them off dry in the morning – that’s not fun. I always fear sections of my eyebrows are going to tear off.
Any sheet mask you guys suggest to try?
There are a lot of cool masks out there I’d love to try but they are nearly impossible to get to Australia or costs an arm and 2 legs in shipping costs. Times like this I wish I lived back in the US.
